The Saint-Petersburg Contemporary Music Center «reMusik.org» announces the VIII St. Petersburg International New Music Festival, taking place from May 21st—June 2nd, 2021.
The festival will be held in distinguished venues around the city, including the Mariinsky Theatre Concert Hall, the New Stage of the Alexandrinsky Theater, the St. Petersburg State Philharmonic, St. Petersburg State Conservatory, New Holland and others. Internationally-renowned ensembles will be performing, such as Collegium Novum Zurich (Switzerland), recherche (Germany), Schallfeld (Austria), Konus Quartett (Switzerland), Ensemble C Barré (France), Moscow Contemporary Music Ensemble (Russia), GAM-Ensemble (Russia), Vacuum string quartet (Russia), and more. Instead of relying on the form of traditional concerts it will be additionally offering composition course, master classes, scientific conference, presentations, forum, educational lectures and workshops.

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

All applications must be submitted online through application form on https://en.remusik.org/academy/courses/composition/
The jury will select at least 25 composers into three groups*: Group A, Group B and Group C.
Group A
- Minimum 3 hours of individual lessons with 3 different tutors** (Each lesson is 1 hour);
- Performance and professional recording of their work at one of the festival concerts;
- 45-minutes presentation of their work;
- Access to all events and concerts.
Group B
- Minimum 3 hours of individual lessons with 3 different tutors** (Each lesson is 1 hour);
- Performance a part of their work during 1—2 workshops/reading sessions with soloists or ensembles-in-residence;
- 45-minutes presentation of their work;
- Access to all events and concerts.
Group C
- Minimum 3 hours of individual lessons with 3 different tutors** (Each lesson is 1 hour);
- 45-minutes presentation of their work;
- Access to all events and concerts.
*You may apply for multiple selection groups. reMusik.org reserves the right to choose more or less participants than it’s announced.
** Participants will have individual lessons with 3 or 4 different tutors.
